Sebastian Wijk (född1987) från Helsingborg fick ett mindre genombrott med sin debutsingel ”A Throw-Away Letter” (2010) som spelades flitigt på radio och Sebastians stora sångröst grep tag i lyssnaren.
I och med albumdebuten ”Down Below” (2011), som fick fint mottagande, medverkade Sebastian i flertal TV-program och genomförde en egen turné runt Sverige och hann också vara support till artister som Moto Boy, Deportees, amerikanska Lissie och Kleerups Me and My Army.
2012 började Sebastian skriva nya låtar och sätta ihop ett band, The White Raven, och många timmar spenderades i replokalen och skrivarstugan. Sebastian och bandet gjorde även ett live-framträdande i P3:session i slutet av 2012 och premiärspelade ”Under a Hole (Into the Light)”.
Första singeln från kommande albumet spelades in hösten 2012 i Decibel studios med samma team som debutalbumet. Billy Bolero producerade och Håkan Wollgård skötte tekniken. Med nya singeln lämnar Sebastian det lågmälda och går mot ett större uttryck.
Videon till ”Under a Hole (Into the Light)” är inspirerad av Lars von Triers bildspråk och spelades in i skogarna runt hemstaden. En video där Sebastian själv var starkt engagerad i idé och genomförande.

Sebastian Wijk (born 1987) from Helsingborg, made his musicial debut in 2010 with the highly appraised single ”A Throw-Away Letter.” Radio stations’ played the single frequently and their listeners were captivated by Sebastian’s intense and unique voice.
Wijk’s debut album, ”Down Below” (2011), was well received, and Sebastian made several TV appearances on national television. The release was followed by a promotional tour in Sweden, as well as numerous performances as a supporting act to artists like Moto Boy, Deportees, Lissie and Kleerups me and My Army.
In 2012 Sebastian formed a band, The White Raven, and started to work on material for his second album. Together with the band Wijk spent hours writing, rehearsing and refining their sound, and by the end of 2012 Sebastian and The White Raven launched their first single, ”Under a Hole (Into the Light)”, live on the radio show P3:session.
The first single from the upcoming album was recorded during Autumn 2012 at Decibel Studios, reuniting the original team that recorded Sebastian’s debut album; produced by Billy Bolero, with Håkan Wollgård as sound engineer. The new single leaves the melancholic sound behind, exploring a whole new side of Sebastian’s musical range.
The video “Under a Hole (Into the Light)”, inspired by the stylistic work of Lars von Triers, is filmed in the woods surrounding Sebastian’s hometown. Sebastian himself was largely involved in conceptualising the video and production.
”Under a Hole (Into the Light)” and ”Early in the Morning” will be released 11February 2013.
”Under a Hole (Into the Light) – Adam Rickfors Remixes” will be released 25 February 2013.
